Northeast Career Pathways Makes the News as Gov. Cooper Declares Career Pathways Week!

NCWorks Certified Career Pathways aims to include even more populations on to career paths, in addition to traditional K-12 students and dislocated workers. NCWorks Certified Career Pathways collaborators, Industry, workforce & education professionals, are making a push to include veterans, those with disabilities (vocational rehab), people with criminal records, experienced workers over the age of 55, and opportunity youth (16 to 24 years old who have significant barriers to employment, those who are dropping out of school, pregnant, parenting, youth). All around the state workforce development professionals who have expertise with these populations are creating strategies to include these workers in North Carolina’s workforce via employer led career paths that lead to a high-paying jobs with opportunities for  promotion.
